כיעור

I must admit, I have become very concerned about my hair, which has visibly been shedding over time (freaky, I know). I read about different "treatments" but they are all more than a bit "iffy". I read that drinking Green Tea could have some hair-oriented benefits, but then again drinking tea 24/7 could lead to kidney stones, so...

There are other aspects of my physical self which warrant some concern though. For one I have developed somewhat of a pot belly- me who has always been thin. Also in this climate and environment I receive little physical exercise. That scar on my forehead also never fully disappeared..

It is these and other things which make me worried about how becoming I may seem to "the ladies" (bald fat people who do little exercise are not the most coveted of men among dating-age women)...

You don't think all the girls the boys are dating are worried themselves? Bah.

Hello there. ..yeah, I didn't say they weren't. ..and if I'm getting so self-concious I'd be more interested in dating an even more self-concious girl!

(I was just thinking actually how I find people who are overly self-confident somewhat repulsive (that is, if they're self-confident for good reason, i.e. they look or speak better than others. People who take such things, and the successes that come with it, for granted, in my opinion are difficult to bear).

Oh yes, as I see my comment go up here I wanted to mention that, to a large extent, I got the "inspiration" to put up a likeliness of myself here from you! ..that and the fact that I got a little tired of the previous one..

The only detterrent to putting up a picture I guess is if someone would refrain from reading a blog based only on the unpalatable appearance of the author...

Yes, I suppose for a girl in essence it might be better not to from a halakhic perspective. ..but then again (from a non-halakhic perspective!) it's always cool to know "who you're dealing with".

"but then again drinking tea 24/7 could lead to kidney stones, so..." -- What? Are you serious? I'm reading this as I'm drinking green tea (for the second or third time today). I usually have a couple of cups of green tea a day (and sometimes as many as 3 or 4).

Ha. it's funny to think of someone reading my blog as they pleasantly sip away at tea!

How in the world can you drink tea in this weather by the way? Do you mean iced tea, because I find it hard to drink a piping hot beverage when it's piping hot outside!

Anyway,

I just searched for "tea kidney stones" on Google, I suppose you can do the same if you want to find out more..

"Ha. it's funny to think of someone reading my blog as they pleasantly sip away at tea!" -- I read, I write, I study, I watch films, I do most things as I drink tea. I am actually drinking tea right now too....

"How in the world can you drink tea in this weather by the way? Do you mean iced tea, because I find it hard to drink a piping hot beverage when it's piping hot outside!" -- Well, it is piping hot when it's first made, but then I put it in the fridge for a bit to cool it down.

Apparently green tea isn't as bad as some other teas, as long as you don't let it steep for too long.
