Well, I started this blog a little before I went to Orlando (to work as a Mashgiach), and here I am again, at the 100th post going off again, this time to the Green Bay (Wisconsin) meat plant to work as a Mashgiach.
..I don't know, I guess it's so easy for me to go be alone in strange places for long periods of time 1. Because I'm naturally a loner! 2. Because I haven't really got anything keeping me in Brooklyn, and 3. Because I'm a travel addict...
..to be honest I always tried to use travel as a way of recharging my "spiritual batteries", and of starting things anew, from a new perspective. ..to be honest, many a time it did work pretty well(!), but I should have definitely have come back to New York and got settled down quite a while ago...I was just always afraid of lowering my spirituality by leaving "the yeshiva".. Well, too late now..
As an aside: I went to Ari Nestlebaums wedding tonight! Yay! We haven't really 'chilled' in quite a while though...

Good luck!
"I should have definitely have come back to New York" Chas V'shalom. That's a sick thought.
"That's a sick thought"

you look good in white dresses
'Kay I'm ill-confident about my Hebrew here, so tell me if I got it right (and don't laugh if I'm way off!)... Very loosely translated- "After its toils, the soul understands that it's being/existance was not good. It separates from the way/path of the world for a long time, in the days of his destruction- But not every soul can understand this." ???
rachel: ha! how can I say this kindly?!...
ok: "After effort (doesn't work in English I suppose) an enlightened spirit will grasp that it is not good for it (should have been 'hihyota') to be seperated from the ways of the world for a long time in the time of it's youth- but not all spirits understand this." ...in other words it's good to become involved in "the ways of the world" at some youn age..
heehee- are you talking about my picture on 'lomos-fotos-motos'? either way...thanks!
Well I'm off to sign up for Ulpan....
i meant this pic here.
(is our clique disintegrating?)
"I should have definitely have come back to New York" Chas V'shalom. That's a sick thought.
lol. I second that, rachel!
sabra: WHOAH! DISS! whatup wit dat?!
jessica: b'ruchot ha'baot.
My parents live in new York. Then and now it's the best place for me to 'get on my feet' in regards to education and finances...otherwise I am no fan of the place, nor of it's Jews...
sabra: "It doesn't look like I've been invited to read your blog"? Why the change? Can I still get invited? Is the content more 'personal' now? In that case I want to be invited even more!
"nor of it's Jews"... take that back, Chriqui.
Ya, Sabra, I agree with Chriqui on this one. If you don't let us in on your blog then you're out of our clique. (Plus, I'm the only one left out of the two of you doing this blogging thing.)
(Maybe not, Rachel. Maybe the sabra-ahem shrik-is still blogging.)
To answer both of you,
Every once in a while I close my blog for some space n privacy. I reopen it after a coupla days. Lo lidog.

"Rachel said...
"nor of it's Jews"... take that back, Chriqui."
I second that. (And if you don't, you're out of the clique.)
-----
"sabra: WHOAH! DISS! whatup wit dat?!"
erm a joke? to be taken with a grin only. or a snort. nah, only with a grin.
----
"Is the content more 'personal' now? In that case I want to be invited even more!"
Hayeeta rotzeh.
Anyhow, I don't think I can GET more personal.
----
"Ya, Sabra, I agree with Chriqui on this one."
You ALWAYS agree with him, Rachel.
"You ALWAYS agree with him, Rachel." When the boy's right, he's right.
(Besides, other than now, I don't recall any other "conflict" in which I took his side.)
O you, I was kidding.
I know, I know-it's hard to tell online.
:) :P
Hm. 'Take it back or I'm out of the clique'! That's hard one! On the one hand -I feel like Haim Topol now!(Fiddler on the Roof)-..one the one hand, I want to stay in the clique..on the other hand, (many) Brooklyn Jews suck! ..one the other hand -there IS no other hand!!!- sorry, I just wanted to say that! : P ..um, how about this; I wond recind my comment, but curtail it- I'm no fan of some of the Jews in New York (especially in Brooklyn), though I agree that there are some very good and even great Jews there. OK now?!
"You ALWAYS agree with him, Rachel- When the boy's right, he's right"- And I'm most often right! I should call myself "often-right-'lomo" (for those of you 'non-trekies" (not to (heaven forbid) suggest I'm one!): As far as I recall the creator of 'DATA' was a scientist called Soong, and one of his enemies eventually came to nickname him 'often-wrong-soong').
And sabra: 'lomo don't grin to that kind of thing!
sheyiye
shlomo - first of all, I don't know if that's what you want to be called, but I don't have hebrew letters on my keyboard so that's what I'll go with until you tell me otherwise. Second of all, I never got a chance to thank you for that beautiful bracha you gave me in my post where I announced my pregnancy. I'm not going to lie, I had to have my husband translate -- my hebrew is not very good -- but it was much appreciated. Thank you.
oh, thank you for noticing! I just looked over it now- I was trying to be a bit humorous/egalitarian when I added "u'banot"!
Just thought I'd let you know that I added a link to your blog on the "Elsewhere" page at my website: http://philosophy.and.mixtapes.angelfire.com/
Hope that's alright. If not, just let me know and I'll remove it.
I apologise, but, in my opinion, you commit an error. Write to me in PM. acheter levitra I can not participate now in discussion - there is no free time. I will return - I will necessarily express the opinion on this question.
Anonymous: You say "write me in PM", then provide a broken link to a French EBay account. ..I'm not even sure how to write someone on a working EBay account..
Anyway, you can tell me here, what kind of error might I be committing? 'Cause last I checked error was beyond me : P.
....for those who may have subscribed to comments on this post in the past: I just looked over these comments and...damn! I'm kind of happy my blog and it's comments took on a more serious and purposeful tone...
Ye and you lost the two awesomest bloggers as a result...
Ha. You can't be serious..
Oh and, uh, it looks like the e in "eBay" should be lower case. ..just thought I might correct that.
Your kindness is overwhelming.
Serious and purposeful? Then I shan't giggle about your ever-so-serious attempt to reply to a spam message.
If you got the point of my second line, go ahead and re-read the first line with the correct tone.
Ah, Rachel, it's been a while.
"If you got the point of my second line"- Nope. Beyond me : ). You're talking about this French eBay account I suppose? Doesn't seem like no spam to me. What the hell is the niga sellin' then?
So again: by "your kindness is overwhelming" I'm guessing you're trying to say that the fact that I commented to that shows that I'm not very serious? Just the fact that I rarely understood you and Sabra's jokes shows that I have a way too serious "Babysitter"-like approach to things...
Maybe you should make your comment setting more secure, Shlomo. These anonymous spam comments are getting out of hand.
Haha, you kidding? I bask in the idea that my blog is important enough to spam! : P.
Oh my G-d man, you should be happy you didn't subscribe to "In My Humble (Jewish) Opinion". I get at least 3 emails everyday from comments from there..in Chinese! Advertising Viagra!
Anyway, yeah, I was thinking of doing that myself. Otherwise the same 3-Chinese-email-a-day thing is gonna' happen to me!
Alright, fixed it. Sorry ev'bodi.
